The Japanese Grand Prix will be remembered for the terrible accident involving Jules Bianchi more than anything. For Red Bull Racing, it was a really decent showing for the second race in a row. After compromising their qualifying to go for a wet setup for the race, Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo carved their way to the front and were closing in on the Mercedes before the second red flag of the afternoon came out. Vettel came away with his second piece of silverware in two races, not like that cares much to him. This result leaves Red Bull all but out of the fight for the Constructors’ Championship.

No. 1 Sebastian Vettel (GER)

Vettel continued his impressive run at the Japanese Grand Prix. After a poor qualifying to only be ninth on the grid, he pulled out one of the most impressive bits of strategic play that I have seen by him. He pitted late compared to his rivals and found himself ahead of his team mate. Following this, he pulled two very good moves on the Williams duo into the hairpin. He then proceeded to catch and pass the McLaren of Jenson Button. Despite an off-track excursion late into the race, Vettel maintained third until he pitted just before the red flag was shown. He was awarded third due to the countback rule.
No. 3 Daniel Ricciardo (AUS)

Race: P4
Ricciardo did a superb job to put the Red Bull in sixth in qualifying. In the race, although the struggled compared to his team mate – struggled as in was only one place behind him for most of the race, Ricciardo showed his excellent ability to race by pulling two absolutely astonishing moves on the Williams drivers in the fast flowing section of the circuit, which received a lot of praise, especially as he used the wet kerbs when doing so. He finished in fourth, a result that still leaves him in the championship hunt, but any hopes that he has of snatching the title are fading fast.
