The 2016 NFL Draft will take place from April 28-30 in Chicago, IL. The NFL Draft is where future Pro Football stars begin their career. Teams spend months evaluating players who have spent years training for one goal, to play in the National Football League.
Tocco’s 2016 NFL Mock Draft Version 2.0
Round 1
1. Los Angeles Rams – Jared Goff, QB, California
With the Rams trading up for the 1st pick, they are destined to draft a quarterback. Cal’s Jared Goff is their man.
2. Philadelphia Eagles – Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota St.
The Eagles are also going all in with one of the two top quarterbacks, they will be happy to grab Wentz who comes out of the small school, but has so much upside.
3. San Diego Chargers Jalen Ramsey, CB, Florida St.
Ramsey has the potential to be one of the next great shutdown corners in the NFL. The Chargers can not afford to pass on that.
4. Dallas Cowboys – Joey Bosa, DL, Ohio St.
Adding a solid pass rusher, in Bosa, would help the Cowboys defense. Bosa could slide into the spot occupied first by DeMarcus Ware, and then by Greg Hardy over the last several years.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars – Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
Hargreaves is a stud corner back, and his defensive ability could help the Jaguars become a true contender sooner rather than later.
6. Baltimore Ravens – Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame
Jaylon Smith may have hurt himself in the Fiesta Bowl, but he will still be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL. He joins a tradition of great linebackers with the Ravens.

7. San Francisco 49ers – Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
San Francisco’s defense needs help and UCLA’s Myles Jack can be their next big playmaker. He is expected to recover fully from his knee injury.

8. Cleveland Browns – Deforest Buckner, DL, Oregon
If Buckner falls to the Browns they will surely pull the trigger on the Ducks talented defensive lineman.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
Once seen as a potential first overall pick for the Titans (prior to the trade with Los Angeles); the Bucs have a franchise quarterback in need of more protection, and Tunsil is the best offensive tackle in the draft.

10. New York Giants Noah Spence, DE/LB, Eastern Kentucky
The Giants need defense help and Spence would fit the bill. He can come of the edge and really get after opposing quarterbacks.

11. Chicago Bears – Sheldon Rankins, DL, Louisville
The Bears can really stand to add talent to their defensive line, and the big man from Louisville fits the bill.

12. New Orleans Saints – Shaq Lawson, DE/LB, Clemson
Adding an edge rusher who can put pressure on opposing quarterbacks would help the Saints secondary and New Orleans defense as a whole.
https://youtu.be/Qn_bQctE5UY
13. Miami Dolphins – Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
Alexander might become a big time playmaker and the Dolphins selecting him would make sense as they need a replacement for the departed Brent Grimes.
https://youtu.be/1ENb73rCM8g
14. Oakland Raiders – Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State
The Raiders would love to give Derek Carr as much protection as possible and take the best tackle still on the board.
https://youtu.be/udCP7EW4l1g
15. Tennessee Titans – Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame
Just like Tampa Bay, the Titans have a young quarterback who is in need of protection. They need to avoid Marcus Mariota having to run for his life on a regular basis.
16. Detroit Lions – Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
With Calvin Johnson retired the Lions need to find a replacement at wide receiver and Doctson could be great with Matthew Stafford.
https://youtu.be/5J-_-xSx9x0
17. Atlanta Falcons – Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State
Lee could make an immediate impact to the Falcons linebacker core.
https://youtu.be/NWw7-WZRrr4
18. Indianapolis Colts – Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State
Eli Apple just might develop into one of the best cornerbacks in the league, and the Colts desperately need help in their defensive backfield.
https://youtu.be/w5jCD0O71x8
19. Buffalo Bills – Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor
The Bills quarterback situation is crazy, but adding Coleman would at least get another threat next to Sammy Watkins.
https://youtu.be/eM9ogSldTB8
20. New York Jets – Leonard Floyd, DE/LB, Georgia
The Jets need to get an edge rusher and are happy to see Floyd still on the board.
https://youtu.be/DZlXZ_P2xq8
21. Washington Redskins – Cody Whitehair, C, Kansas State
Whitehair is solid center who could be a great starter in the NFL and anchor the Redskins line for the next decade.
https://youtu.be/grJcPZtLs1g
22. Houston Texans – Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss
Treadwell’s speed is a legitimate question but his skills are undeniable. The Texans signed quarterback Brock Osweiler this off-season and Houston may want to add Treadwell to play along side DeAndre Hopkins and give their new quarterback another threat.
https://youtu.be/bauQfZ8OmLk
23. Minnesota Vikings – Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State
The Vikings need to get another weapon for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to throw too if they want to take the next step.
https://youtu.be/VlgFzwfn-0k
24. Cincinnati Bengals – Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama
The Bengals offense is good, but their defense needs some help. Ragland becomes an immediate starter and fills a need in the linebacking corps.
https://youtu.be/Z5m-AlIheWg
25. Pittsburgh Steelers – William Jackson III, CB, Houston
The Steelers have an amazing offense, so adding a guy who has the potential to be a Pro Bowler and shutdown corner fills a big need.
https://youtu.be/9ed52KLps6U
26. Seattle Seahawks – Jack Conklin, T, Michigan State
Quarterback Russell Wilson scrambles a lot, and Conklin could help protect him.
https://youtu.be/9v_tXNF0PaU
27. Green Bay Packers – Su’a Cravens, LB, USC
The Packers have a solid defense, but they need help at linebacker and Cravens could be a good addition. The Packers often go for best player available and he fits that description with the way the board has broken done.
https://youtu.be/8n_-6sPcI6s
28. Kansas City Chiefs – A’Shawn Robinson, DL, Alabama
The Chiefs need help on their defensive line and Robinson could be a good fit. He can provide support to Justin Houston.
https://youtu.be/Sn1Okg3Qr04
29. Arizona Cardinals – Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis
Lynch could be the future franchise quarterback for the Cardinals. He could replace Carson Palmer in a couple of years which would give him a chance to develop.
https://youtu.be/Jdm3TayuSUo
30. Carolina Panthers – Kevin Dodd, DL, Clemson
The Panthers adding another defensive stud could help their already impressive defense.
https://youtu.be/VvJM8WonpMA
31. Denver Broncos – Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Ole Miss (The Broncos selecting Nkemdiche would provide them another threat to get after opposing quartbacks, which would further help their great defense.
