Wide receiver Mike Wallace has agreed to terms on a two-year, $11.5 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens . This is according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, citing sources. Wallace spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2009-2012), Miami Dolphins (2013-2014), and Minnesota Vikings (2015).

Mike Wallace Agrees to 2-Year Deal with Ravens
Mike Wallace played in 16 games in 2015, racking up 473 yards on 39 receptions and two touchdowns. It was a down year for Wallace to say the least. He had career lows in receiving yards and touchdowns, and tied his lowest mark in receptions, which hadn’t happened since his rookie campaign with the Steelers.
Wallace, who played high school football for O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, competed for Ole Miss in college. He played three seasons at Ole Miss, racking up 1,910 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. He then entered the NFL Draft in 2009, where the Pittsburgh Steelers selected him with the 84th selection. The 3rd round pick came into the league hungry, with everything to prove. It didn’t take long for his blazing speed to allow Ben Roethlisberger to showcase every bit of his arm strength deep down the field. He played for the Steelers during his lone Pro Bowl campaign in 2011, where he recorded 72 receptions for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns. Wallace shined brightest during Super Bowl 45, where he had 9 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort against the Green Bay Packers.
Mike Wallace has been a star receiver in this league multiple times, but he was also a big disappointment as recent as last season with the Vikings when they wanted him to help develop quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. The team’s inability to protect their young quarterback didn’t allow Wallace to establish himself as a premier deep threat like he had for two other teams previously. A fresh start elsewhere could reignite the speedy Wallace’s career.
