I’m told DL Damon Harrison has earned and agreed in principle to a five-year, $46.25M deal with the #Giants. Massive get for the G-Men.

Damon Harrison Signs With New York Giants
Nicknamed Snacks, Harrison has been the center cog of a dominant New York Jets defensive line for the last three seasons. He has started all 16 games in those seasons after being active for only five games during his rookie year. Not known for his pass rush or penetration ability from the interior, Harrison is a space eating nose tackle, capable of taking on 2 to 3 blockers simultaneously. This has greatly contributed to the success of other Jets defenders such as Mohammad Wilkerson and David Harris. Likely able to play in a multitude of defensive schemes, Harrison is at his best when he can eat up space and blockers to free up other defenders. Because of his ability to play nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme or defensive tackle in a 4-3 scheme, his market was wide open and he received a lucrative deal because of it.
Damon Harrison is a New Iberia, Louisiana native that attended William Penn College as a defensive tackle. At the conclusion of his senior season he was recognized as first team all-conference and NAIA All-American, a season in which he recorded 3.5 sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 60 tackles. After being given a late 7th round draft grade for the 2012 NFL Draft, Harrison went undrafted and signed with the Jets. Pro Football Focus recognized him as the best run defender for 2015 along with naming him to their own All-Pro team. Only 27 years old, Harrison has hit the prime of his career and will look to continue stuffing running lanes with his new team.
