Fantasy Profile: Vincent Jackson, Wide Receiver, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Vincent Jackson is no spring chicken but is 31 and almost “old” by NFL standards. In 2014, the quarterback situation in Tampa Bay was horrendous at most times. Jackson still managed to get 70 catches for 1,002 yards but only two touchdowns as he took a second wide out role to Mike Evans.
Tampa Bay used the first overall pick in 2015 to add Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback and create a powerful offensive attack. Jackson’s fantasy stock hinges entirely upon how good Winston can play at the NFL level. While rookie quarterbacks are iffy at best most years, Winston is an immediate improvement on what the quarterback position offered last year. Look for Jackson to improve on his 2014 stats in the coming year.
