2015 British Grand Prix Force India Review

After positive feedback from both drivers during free practice about the new B-Spec car, Force India were feeling bullish as they headed into qualifying. They were right to do so, resulting in both cars starting in strong positions.

2015 BRITISH GRAND PRIX FORCE INDIA REVIEW

No. 27 Nico Hülkenberg

Form: 7/14/R/13/15/11/8/6/7

Having qualified in ninth Hulkenberg was slightly underwhelmed by his performance. However, he headed into the race with optimism. Indeed, it was a good performance by the German driver, surviving the first few laps as well as the treacherous weather, making it as far up as fifth. However, a slightly longer pit stop than necessary saw him slip back to seventh.

No. 11 Sergio Pérez

Form: 10/13/11/8/13/7/11/9/9

Although Perez expressed his optimism at the new Force India car, he also admitted that he was finding it difficult to tune the car to his liking. As such, he qualified just outside the top 10 in eleventh. However, he like his teammate avoided the collisions at the start and dealt with the weather well. It could be argued that his race was rather compromised by Hulkenberg. As the German was the leading driver, he pitted first, forcing the Mexican driver to continue on, losing time on worn tires before he could box. Ultimately he finished ninth but he may well have finished higher if not ahead of Hulkenberg.

The 2015 season starts now for Sahara Force India.
