Fantasy Football Top 12 Quarterbacks

Today, we will be discussing preliminary rankings starting with the Fantasy Football Top 12 Quarterbacks coming into the 2015 NFL Season.

It is a depressing, yet exciting time for NFL fans as we move closer to August. While not much is going on, we are all writhing in anticipation for our beloved sport to start.  Especially we fantasy football addicts.

While I have been mock drafting since February 2nd many seem to be actually drafting teams between March and August. I think that is bananas, and I will have no part in it. I also have waited until now to start my rankings so that some of the dust settled around the league.

I will start with quarterbacks. These are my Fantasy Football Top 12 Quarterbacks to lead your squad this year.

1) Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts– It is likely that Rodgers and Luck will battle for this spot in 2015. Luck gets the slight nod due to the new weapons around him and play calling changes in Green Bay.

2) Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers– A healthy Rodgers means a healthy amount of fantasy points, week in and week out. He only falls below Luck because I see a rise in the usage of Eddie Lacy this year.

3) Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons– This is the year Ryan and Julio Jones get on the super stat wagon. With the weapons they have now, Ryan will flourish.

4) Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers– Roethlisberger is in an offense that could be considered the best in the league. Do I need to say more? He is in line for big numbers again this year.

5) Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions – Stafford makes a fantasy comeback this year with a finally healthy Calvin Johnson. He will have a ton of yardage once again, catapulting him in to the top five.

6) Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks – Wilson is mad. He’ll never say it, but he is mad and the Seahawks won’t give him his money. He will still get several points through rushing. Wilson has arrived in fantasy football but be prepared for some low point totals at times.

7) Peyton Manning, QB, Denver Broncos – Manning showed his human side toward the end of last year. I look for the trend to continue in 2015. However, Manning will continue to put up great numbers in 2015.

8) Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers – With Kelvin Benjamin in year two, a veteran pass catching tight end and a giant new weapon in Devin Funchess, Newton is ready to elevate his play to new heights in 2015.

9) Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints – After a down year statistically Brees lost his favorite target in Jimmy Graham. They will run the ball a lot more this year as well. Brees is likely to have his worst fantasy season in a long time this season.

10) Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins– Tannehill has some new guys to work with this year. That offense is getting to contender status and Tannehill will reap the rewards with a top 10 finish.

11) Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys – Romo is right outside the top 10 because the offense will suffer as a whole without DeMarco Murray. This will lead to more passing under duress for Tony and more interceptions for the defense.

12) Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants– Manning breaks in to my top 12 with Victor Cruz coming back and the addition of  Shane Vereen. Vereen brings a new element that will aid Eli to a fantasy starter.

I will follow this with my top 12 running backs in a couple days. If you are surprised by this list, wait until you see the next set of my rankings.
