LWOS F1 Editorial: Monaco Grand Prix Mayhem

The Monaco Grand Prix. The pinnacle of F1, nay all Motorsport.

In what will be the 72nd race held there, Lewis Hamilton is hot favourite to scoop up his second victory at the hallowed venue after his epic win there in 2008 as he went on to win the Drivers’ World Championship in incredible circumstances (more on that in the coming days).

I first fell in love with Monaco after that race in 2008; I hadn’t followed F1 quite so passionately up until that season. Seeing a British driver regularly winning races and constantly in the mix for either races or the World Championship a for the first time in a long while, certainly in my time watching the sport in the form of Lewis Hamilton certainly stoked my interest further. When Lewis Hamilton won at what I knew was the biggest race in the calendar, I shan’t spoil the details as more on this particular race will be written about in the near future, my love for the sport and the Grand Prix was cast in stone there and then.

With the latest edition of the Monaco GP not far away: Qualifying starts in ten days, there will be a lot of coverage that you won’t be able to find anywhere else coming from our team. I hope you have enjoyed all of our coverage so far and may have noticed that F1 has been given its own place on the homepage, no longer listed under “More Sports.” From looks back on famous races here, to previews on what is to come, to general romanticising of this wonderful race and much, much more, you do not want to miss any of our articles over the course of the next few weeks and the entire season.

I strongly recommend you put this link: LWOS Motorsport/f1 and for those of you interested in more sports the actual link to the main website itself in your favourites so that you do not have to miss out on anything we write.

Enjoy all of our coverage and, when it comes around, the incredible race itself.
