DraftALicios – In a Word – Kevin Durant, Richard Sherman, Johnny Manziel and more

In a Word is week in sports recap column that recaps the major stories of the past week, in one word.

This week’s In a Word recap is filled with references to the 2014 NFL draft. In fact five of the selections represent the draft. If you were like me, you were glued to your television set waiting for your favorite team’s selection.

In my case I had to wait until the very last pick of round one as the Minnesota Vikings made a last minute move to move up from 40th to 32nd to fill a great need for the club.

Like many other NFL draft TV watchers I was also intrigued by the biggest story of the first round and that was the Johnny Manziel watch. Who would take him and would it be in the first round?  Would the Dallas Cowboys really take him at 16th overall?

Joe Girardi– Childish

Mark Jackson – Dissed

Kevin Durant – Best

Richard Sherman – Ye$

Roger Goodell on Buffalo Bills – Bully

Jadeveon Clowney – First

Jacksonville Jaguars – Shocker

Cleveland Browns – Party!

Teddy Bridgewater – Purple

Yu Darvish – Almost

Miami Dolphins – Disgrace

Now that the draft is over, the focus will likely shift back to hockey and basketball. By next week’s posting we will know what the matchups are for the conference finals are as we make our way to seeing who will win the Stanley Cup and the Bill O’Brien trophy.
