As predicted, the Americans abroad: Summer transfers have been busy for USMNT players. Aside from the U-20s taking home their third consecutive Concacaf championship, the deals and rumors have been coming in hot. Let’s take a look at the biggest transfers that have gone down since the transfer window opened.
Americans Abroad: Summer transfers heating up
Tyler Adams
Announced on the 4th of July, Tyler Adams secured a move to Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United.
Leeds are set to sign Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig, done deal and here we go! Deal completed for £20m fee [add ons included]. It’s 100% agreed, Jesse Marsch wanted him. 🚨🇺🇸 #LUFC

The $24 million deal teams up Adams with fellow USMNT man Brenden Aaronson. If any American is looking for a premier league side to root for, Leeds may be the one for you. Two key American players and a manager. Fulham better look out.
Zack Steffen
Sitting behind Ederson for three seasons can only teach you so much. The 26-year-old goalkeeper is set to join Middlesbrough on loan for the season, where he’ll almost certainly be the #1. Jumping down to the Championship may not be considered the best move in the world, but Steffen being the starter for his club in a World Cup year is massive.
Christian Pulisic Update
Mattias De Ligt to Chelsea in a swap deal for CP10 had been the hot topic over the last few weeks. Reports however have flooded in that Chelsea has rejected that swap. It appears that Todd Boehly is keen on keeping Captain America with the blues, despite rumors of his frustration with his role in the team.
Jordan Pefok
After tearing up the Swiss League, Pefok is ready for a new challenge. In the form of Union Berlin, he’s heading to Bundesliga. In two years with Young Boys, he slotted in 42 goals and competed in the champions league. Despite the drop to the Europa League, this is an awesome move for the fringe USMNT starting striker.

Update on Slonina/Horvath
MLS wonder kid goalie, Gabriel Slonina has been linked with Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Wolves so far this summer. Per Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is nearing a deal around $10 million for the 18-year-old.

Meanwhile, Ethan Horvath has secured a loan to Luton Town for the season. There’s a good chance he walks in and starts, and after his shaky showing against El Salvador, he needs a confidence boost.
