About us:

Ben Righetti covers the Whitecaps for Last Word on Soccer, attending practices and games to bring readers the best and most in depth coverage of the team possible. Born in England, Ben was thrown into the life of wearing the blue and white of Chelsea, before moving to Vancouver.

Since then, the Whitecaps have been Ben’s go to for a dose of soccer. The east Londoner recently graduated from the  Broadcast and Online Journalism program at BCIT, and hopes that the coverage he provides for Last Word, mixed with his CFL experience and TSN internship can make him a prominent figure in Vancouver’s sports media market.

Sebastian Pereira is a contributor for World Football Index, covering the Vancouver Whitecaps. Born in Colombia, Sebastian has always had a strong passion for the beautiful game, with his top football memories being his country’s deep run in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and watching Liverpool lift the Champions League in 2019. Sebastian is currently in his second year of studying journalism in Vancouver and aims to cover the sport at a top level.
