Los Angeles, CA (July 27, 2017) – New expansion team Los Angeles FC is set to name former Swansea City and U.S. Men’s National Team manager Bob Bradley as their head coach.

LAFC To Name Bob Bradley Head Coach
Bob Bradley is set to return to the United States as LAFC Head Coach when they begin to play in 2018. Bradley was recently the manager of English Premier League side Swansea City where he held the post for less than three months. He was released last December. Bradley returns to MLS for the first time since 2006, when he left formerly known Chivas USA (now being replaces by LAFC), for the United States National Team program.
He held that position for five years, then went on to manage the Egyptian National Team, Norwegian club Stabaek, and French side Le Havre.

Bradley’s Time in Major League Soccer
During his time in MLS, Bradley was an assistant coach under Bruce Arena at D.C. United when they won back-to-back MLS Cups in 1996 and 1997. Afterward, Bradley was hired as head coach for the Chicago Fire for their expansion season in 1998. He led the Fire to their best first season in league history, in which they won both the MLS Cup and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
After five years in Bridgeview, he went to coach the New York MetroStars (known now as the New York Red Bulls) and spent almost three full seasons at the helm before he was fired after the 2005 season. Bradley went on to coach Chivas USA, who he led to a playoff berth after a very poor expansion season.
Father of USMNT and Toronto FC Captain Michael Bradley, his resume shows a 43-25-12 record in 80 games when he was the head coach of the national team. He won the 2007 Gold Cup title, finished second at the 2009 Confederations Cup, and won the group before their Round of 16 exit to Ghana in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. U.S. Soccer dismissed Bradley after losing 4-2 to rivals Mexico in the 2011 Gold Cup Final.
