Last Word SC Radio: Gold Cup Group Stage Update

We start off with Group A. Matt and Dan break down how Costa Rica and Canada got the job done to advance. We gush over Andrew Davies and talk abou the MLS based Ticos. Matt tries to diagnose what’s wrong with Honduras. Then we talk about the Level 100 CONCACAFing that is French Guiana. The guys break down the sanctions, the sequence of events, and what CONCACAF did and didn’t do right.

The guys then move on to Group B. We discuss the U.S. Men’s National Team woes in the group stage and why it isn’t the end of the world. Dan talks about the need for a central attacker. Matt discusses the issue at the back. The guys conclude talking about Panama as a dark horse and about how U.S. Soccer Twitter needs to chill.

We finish the pod off with talking Group C (Jamaica and El Salvador ain’t that bad) and give some brief updates on the U.S. Open Cup.
