Last Word SC Radio Back From The Dead: 2017 Gold Cup Preview

Matt Pollard is joined by Sean Garmer! The two discuss the three groups of the Gold Cup. The guys talk about each team and there chances to advance to the Quarterfinals. We even predict our best third teams. We do an (abbreviated) roster review and look at some players to watch for. The guys finish off breaking down the United States Men’s National Team roster and what Bruce Arena will be looking to accomplish in this tournament.

We do pick a winner for the tournament overall. Send this pod to your casual soccer fan friends to get them all prepped for this “ridiculous and endearing tournament.”

Matt Pollard is a Site Manager and Featured Columnist at Last Word on Soccer and Environmental Engineer. When he’s not saving pipelines and cleaning up messes, he’s getting his butt kicked by Insanity, falling down the Rocky Mountains, or watching sports. His first sports love was the LA Kings, though MLS didn’t exist at the time. Once called the Shakespeare of LWOS, he covers the LA Galaxy, Colorado Rapids, and Saint Louis FC. Like the Galaxy, he too was handcrafted in LA.
