Last week was particularly good to the writers at the front of the pack in MLS Pick ‘Em 2017. John edged out Robert by one and now takes the lead in the overall standings. But watch out for Roy, who went 7-4 for the best mark of the week and is hot on the trail of them both.
Those three have established some distance from the rest of the field as we head into week 14 of the MLS season. But there’s still plenty of time for someone to get hot and make a run at the top spot. A few weeks of sustained success combined with some slip-ups from the frontrunners and anything is possible.
With that in mind, it’s time to focus on the games at hand. It’s another busy week with 15 games in total including four to start things off on Wednesday. The defending MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders are one of those teams in action midweek with a road test against Columbus Crew SC.
Friday night gives us a little Viernes de Futbol after dark as Unimas televises Portland’s home tilt against San Jose, a game that kicks off at 11 PM ET. Eight games are on tap for Saturday, including New England hosting a red hot Toronto FC side who are unbeaten in their last eight. Finally, two games round out the action on Sunday. Orlando hosts Chicago on FS1 followed by a late night showdown (10 PM ET) between Seattle and Houston.
