Last week, Kevin Drastura pulled a fast one on all the writers and picked eight of the eleven games correctly, the best score of any writer this year. Only Noah and myself remain without points, but that will change this week, right? I need the validation.

MLS Pick ‘Em 2017 – Week 7

This week, there are some sweet rivalry games on the schedule, starting in Philadelphia. Okay, this one isn’t really a rivalry, but it is close. Proximity makes the matchup just a bit more enticing. Philadelphia is still looking for their first win this year, and NYCFC is looking to get back to their winning ways after last week’s loss to D.C.

Then we travel northwest to Vancouver where the Whitecaps are looking to turn things around against a Seattle team that is still working up to full pace. The Cascadia rivals only have two wins between them, and as the western conference starts to shake out, both teams want to make sure they rise early.

Back out east, the first Atlantic cup match is here. The Red Bulls are still waiting to get going. Despite having one of their best starts in recent memory, they are winless in their last four, with three losses. D.C. struggled to start the season, but now they have two straight wins to build on. Can they keep things going heading into a hostile Red Bull Arena?

The last big rivalry of the weekend is back out west. Colorado welcomes Rocky Mountain cup foes Real Salt Lake. Mike Petke earned his first win as RSL’s head coach in a wild snow game. With RSL struggling through the early season, is this their moment of resurgence? After winning their opener, Colorado is winless in their last three. Who will come out on top?
