The WWE NXT card for this week is stacked to the top as a special singles match is set, the fallout from Samoa Joe‘s return is expected, and the newest addition to the black and gold brand finally opens. Here’s the preview for the WWE NXT card.
KUSHIDA vs. Kyle O’Reilly
Last week, William Regal granted Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole one more match against each other. He also granted them an opportunity to pick their opponents for this week as a sort of tune-up match. O’Reilly decided that rather than taking it easy, he wanted the best. His pick would be NXT Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA. If their battles in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) are a sign of things to come, expect this to be one of the best television matches of the entire year.
Diamond Mine Opens
Diamond Mine officially opens this Tuesday night. All videos have made it clear that this is some sort of mixed martial arts location, but other than that it remains a mystery. Hopefully whatever Diamond Mine is can be a grand addition to the brand.
Adam Cole in Action
Adam Cole was not able to inform William Regal of who his opponent will be this week as he was put to sleep via Coquina Clutch by Samoa Joe. This will be Cole’s first match on NXT TV since March and unlike O’Reilly, he’s probably picked an opponent he views as an easy match. Time will tell.
Samoa Joe Continues To Leave His Mark
The wrestling world exploded when Samoa Joe’s music hit last week and “The Samoan Destroyer” made his way down to the ring. Joe made it official that he will be aiding William Regal moving forward in an effort to keep NXT in order. Seeing that his first week saw him get in the face of NXT Champion Karrion Kross, have a staredown with Pete Dunne, and put Adam Cole to sleep, anything can happen this Tuesday night.
