Season 19 of NWA Powerrr kicked off this week from Dallas, Texas. As the quarterfinals of the Crockett Cup decide the final four for this year’s tournament, there is a heated battle for the number one contendership for the Women’s Tag Titles.

The Immortals and #1 Contenders Match

The opening contest was a quarterfinal match in the Crockett Cup. Billy Corgan would join Danny Dealz and Joe Galli in the booth for commentary this week. This match was a rematch of sorts from when The Immortals took the US Tag titles from Daisy Kills and Talos.

Odinson and Daisy Kills would open the match. The Immortals would do a good job of cutting the ring in half keeping the big man Talos out of the action.

Odinson would continue to showcase his range of innovative offense this week with the “Asgardian Uppercut,” a spinning Euro Uppercut that looked to take Daisy’s head off.

During their comeback, there would be some dissension between Talos and Daisy Kills. This would be the opening the Immortals would need to use their experience in their favor.

Vampiro would interfere but miss a risky senton from the top rope, leaving him out of the action for the remainder of the match.  The Immortals would claim another victory in the tournament and move on to the semi-finals and one step closer to the Cup.

The King Bees are reigning champions and they need a new challenger. Billy is giving them just that.

Newly signed NWA talent Reka Tehaka and her mentor Tiffany Nieves go head to head with Ruthie Jay and La Rosa Negra, Rosa and Nieves would open the contest. There would be great back and forth between both teams as they fought for the advantage.

Reka Tehaka and Nieves would take control late securing the victory and the shot at the titles.

The Main Event

In another quarter-final matchup, we saw the Country Gentlemen versus the Southern 6. This would be a modified Southern 6 though, as the “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason would not be medically cleared for action.

Kerry Morton would plead for Alex Taylor to be allowed in the match, but Joe Cazana would say his boys deserved the bye and a free trip to the semis.

AJ Cazana would stand up and say they wanted a fight and so they did. With a jump start at the bell, the action in the main event went from start to finish.

Both teams would fight hard inside and out of the ring. The managers would play a role as well as the Senior Cazana and NWA legend Ricky Morton would exchange words throughout the match.

The Southern 6 would secure a fantastic win over the Country Gentlemen and would set their eyes down the line in the tournament. The two young stars would call out the winners from the 2023 Crockett Cup, Knox and Murdoch.

After a cage match victory in Dothan, Alabama, the Southern 6 make it clear they’re not afraid of the reigning Crockett Cup winners.

Next week, the final four of the tournament is set with The Miserably Faithful and BFT both in action.
