Ultimate X Returns

The match that is associated with IMPACT Wrestling more than anything else, the Ultimate-X match. Jonathan Gresham, Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, Angels, and KUSHIDA will all try and scale one of the four steel trusts attached to the ring posts and cross the ropes to retrieve the X at the center of the ropes. Whoever is able to do that first will get a shot at the winner of Chris Sabin and Lio Rush.

This match is the ultimate test of endurance and athleticism. The risks are high but so are the rewards. Mike Bailey and KUSHIDA bring their speed and flying ability to this match which will no doubt be important. Kevin Knight and Angles are very well round with speed and strength and should not be overlooked. Jonathan Gresham may not be the first wrestler that comes to mind in a match like this, but if his series of matches with Mike Bailey has shown anything it’s that he’s versatile and can adapt to any wrestler or match. He cannot be counted out in the Ultimate X match.

It is anyone’s match and the stakes are high this Saturday night.

IMPACT Slammiversary 2023: Purrazzo vs. Trinity

Trinity Gets a Shot at Gold

Trinity made her debut for IMPACT Wrestling when the promotion took over the greater Chicago area. It did not take long for her to make her title intentions clear. She immediately became locked in a feud with Jordynne Grace with both having their eyes on Deonna Purrazzo and her Knockouts Championship. Deonna defeated Grace and retained the Knockouts Title at Under Siege. Purrazzo did not have to wait long for her next challenger to step forward.

This will be the first time the two have stepped in the ring for a one-on-one match in an IMPACT ring. Deonna Purrazzo brings a technical edge to the matchup and is always dangerous with the Fujiwara Armbar. Trinity is known for her speed and flying ability, making her a threat from anywhere in the ring.

The two have very different strengths coming into this matchup which makes this an exciting matchup. Will Purrazzo’s run as champion contunie? Or will we see a new champion walk out of IMPACT Slammiverseary 2023?

IMPACT Slammiversary 2023 Main Event: IMPACT World Championship

Alex Shelley shocked Steve Maclin at Against All Odds when he won the IMPACT World Championship. He did not have to wait long to find out who his first challenger would be.

On the very same night, Nick Aldis won the first-ever 8-4-1 match. The match started as an eight-man tag match. From there the winning team was split into two tag teams before the winning tag team went one on one with a shot at IMPACT gold on the line. Nick Aldis came out victorious in this matchup, punching his ticket to Slammiversary.

This is Shelley’s first time as IMPACT World Champion. He went into the match at Against All Odds making it clear that he was walking out with his first World Championship. Shelley delivered on his promise and now Nick Aldis is looking to bring back IMPACT gold around his waist. Aldis is a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion in addition to a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Both men are extremely proficient technical wrestlers. Shelley comes in with a speed and agility edge, while the strength advantage belongs to Aldis. This match should be an exciting contest and a fitting way to celebrate 21 years of IMPACT, as both men have a long history with the promotion.
