During the final segment of Monday Night Raw this week, as announced, Bad Bunny made his return. This coming after he was laid out the night after WrestleMania by Damian Priest. Chokeslammed through an announce table after a confrontation with Dominik Mysterio. Bad Bunny appeared on a pick-up truck. Marched to the ring in a cowboy hat and confronted his attacker, challenging him to a Street Fight for WWE Backlash on May 6th, in front of his people in San Juan. A mere half-hour drive from his home town of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.
However, there was a very interesting visual easter egg to spot as the famous rapper confronted his former tag team partner. It can be spotted on the kendo stick he wielded as he laid out the challenge. Written out on it was the phrase “A Mi Manera O Pa’ La Calle”. In a near literal sense, that translates to “It’s My Way, Or The Highway.’ But that isn’t a shout out to the rather famous lyrics of Limp Bizkit’s “May Way”. It’s in fact a shout-out to former WWE alumni and current promoter of the International Wrestling Association (IWA), Savio Vega. His catchphrase since the foundation of the promotion.
The kendo stick itself can also be seen as a shout-out, also traced to the IWA. It’s the signature weapon of another former WWE alumni turned IWA promoter: Miguel Perez Jr and also fellow member of Los Boricuas as was Savio Vega.

The shout-out was instantly caught by Puertorican fans. As well as Savio Vega himself. Labelling him “the 5th Boricua.” Something stated on IWA’s official Facebook page. That being the name of WWE’s stable of Puertoricans back in the mid-90s. Savio Vega, Miguel Perez Jr, Jesus “Huracan” Castillo Jr and Jose Estrada Jr. Major stars for WWC in the mid-80s and early 90’s. Later three of the four would be founders of the IWA alongside Victor Quinones. Becoming one of the premier wrestling companies of the island.
Puerto Rico is very well known for its hardcore brawling style of match. So, it would not be surprising in the least if that’s what we see from this Street Fight between Damian Priest and Bad Bunny.
The shout-out has even led to speculation that Savio Vega may appear at WWE Backlash, assisting in the Street Fight. While that would not make sense from a storyline perspective, the LWO and Judgment Day already being involved, the cameo can’t really be ruled out if Savio Vega happens to be around.
