Ospreay vs. Umino to Headline Night 1

Night 1 will be headlined by IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay against Shota Umino in a non-title fight. Umino is one of the hottest young stars in NJPW.

Umino has spent the past year gaining experience outside of Japan by appearing for All Elite Wrestling, RevPro, Windy City Riot, and NJPW Strong.  The match will offer a great chance to see arguably the finest wrestler on the planet, Ospreay, against the potential top future star, Umino.

IWGP Tag Titles Defended

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) will defend the IWGP Tag Team Championship against a team they have recently feuded with in AEW. As the current AEW, AAA, Ring of Honor, and IWGP tag champions, FTR are arguably the greatest tag team on the planet.

Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Karl Fletcher) will meet FTR for the first time in the country they made their names as part of PROGRESS.

Aussie Open and FTR have been in the ring together as part of a couple of six-man tag matches, but they’ve never met in a traditional tag team contest.

Home Town Sabre Jr. Looks for Revenge

Zack Sabre Jr. and Tetsuya Naito will headline night 2 in a grudge match with huge implications. Naito defeated Sabre Jr. in the G1 Climax in just 01:58. Sabre Jr. was hoping victory in the G1 Climax would lead to him having a title shot at Royal Quest. But Naito’s embarrassing victory over Sabre Jr. ruined that plan and sparked a fierce rivalry between the two men.

Sabre Jr. will get the opportunity to defend his honor in his home country. Whichever man is victorious will also receive a shot at Ospreay and his IWGP United States Championship.

IWGP Women’s Championship Tournament Kicks Off

Jazzy Gabert and Ava White will make history as they compete in the opening match in a tournament to crown the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion.

Former STARDOM Champion Gabert had a brief stint in NXT UK and also held the EVE Championship for almost a year. “The Ava” White has been a mainstay for Pro Wrestling EVE over the past year.
