#AndNEW: Brian Myers Wins IMPACT Digital Media Championship

Rich Swann IMPACT Digital Media Championship

IMPACT Wrestling Against All Odds started off with a bang. Brian Myers defeated Rich Swann in a “Dot Combat” match for the IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Championship.

Brian Myers Becomes IMPACT Digital Media Champion at Against All Odds

The Dot Combat match was a no-disqualification match that saw both wrestlers use a variety of electronics to inflict damage on one another. We saw tripods, ring lights, power strips, and other electronic equipment turned into weapons in the match.

Things were looking good for the former champion Swann until late in the match. He hit Myers with a PC monitor and then put it in the corner between the middle and top rope. He turned around to send Myers into the monitor only for Myers to counter with a spear. This gave Myers the opening he needed to use a tripod and inflict enough damage to Swann to get the victory.

This is the first time Brian Myers has held IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Champion. He is also a former one-time TNA World Tag Team Champion with Trevor Lee.

Myers is the fourth Digital Media Champion in company history. Jordynne Grace was the first-ever champion and dropped it to Myers’s tag team partner Matt Cardona who then dropped it to Swann. A challenger for Myers has not been announced as of this writing.
