WWE Producing New Ric Flair Documentary

WWE to Produce Ric Flair Documentary

News broke earlier this week that WWE would be releasing a documentary on the life of “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Tom Rinaldi is currently set to head up production, and it is expected to be almost two hours in length. This is somewhat surprising as WWE had publicly moved away from the legend after Dark Side of the Ring’s episode that cover the infamous “Plane Ride from Hell.”

What to Know Regarding Upcoming WWE Production

The timing could not be better for Flair, as he is set to have his final match on July 31st. One would assume this will at least be touched on in the documentary, but WWE does have a tendency to ignore events that happen outside the promotion. They have said it will reveal the “never before seen history” of Ric Flair, which will be hard to do considering the excellent 30 for 30 special ESPN did on Nature Boy back in 2017.

Following his professional wrestling debut in 1972, Ric Flair has become one of the most recognizable figures in professional wrestling history. WWE acknowledges “The Nature Boy” as a 16x world champion, having captured top gold in World Championship Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance, and the World Wrestling Federation. He has also been part of multiple Hall of Fame classes in WWE and elsewhere, not only as himself but as part of the legendary faction known as The Four Horsemen.
