Following the Anarchy in the Arena match between The Jericho Appreciation Society and Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz, AEW Double or Nothing 2022 panned to a backstage segment featuring Andrade El Idolo. He spoke to the audience, announcing that he had a new business partner. This individual was revealed to be none other than Rush, who appeared onscreen to fist bump Andrade to conclude this segment. With this, Rush made his official AEW debut at Double or Nothing.

Many professional wrestling fans may best know Rush for his stint in Ring of Honor, which lasted from 2018 to 2021. During this time, he captured the ROH World Championship twice, his second reign seeing him hold the company’s top prize for an impressive 498 days. From Brody King to Jay Lethal, Rush defended the gold against a number of opponents. However, he’s arguably a bigger star outside of the United States, specifically for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico. Rush was incredibly successful here, capturing 2 CMLL World Tag Team Championships, not to mention the World Trios and World Light Heavyweight titles. Expect to see Rush more consistently on AEW programming, especially with the reinvention of the ROH brand.
