Lee Moriarty vs. Alan “5” Angels

Fresh off a victory over Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds, Lee Moriarty looks to pick up another Dark Order win on AEW Dark against Alan “5” Angels. Moriarty has been impressive of late, as he has not lost a singles match in AEW since his match with Bryan Danielson in February of this year. Since then, his only loss in an AEW ring was a trios match against Danielson and his fellow Blackpool Combat Club members Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta.

While Moriarty is seemingly finding his footing as a singles competitor, Angels is not having the same luck. While “5” is certainly growing in popularity with the fans, he has not won a singles contest since December 2020, with his only victories coming in tag team action. Still, we can’t forget that Angels has been very competitive against top competitors such as Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson, and Andrade El Idolo.

It’s hard to deny Moriarty’s momentum, which is why I favor him in this match-up. No matter what, this will be a fun card, so be sure to tune in.
