Taya Valkyrie had just retained the title when her opponent Deonna Purrazzo attacked her after the bell. The lights went down and when they came back on, Yim was making her way to the ring. Purrazzo walked away before trying to blindside Yim. Yim countered and Purrazzo left the ring and headed back to the locker room.
Yim previously worked with IMPACT Wrestling from 2015-2017. She made her full-time debut in 2015 along with Marti Bell. Shortly after that, they aligned themselves with the villainous Dollhouse stable that was headed by Taryn Terrell. She finished her time with IMPACT in 2017 and signed with WWE shortly after that.
Yim was part of the NXT roster from 2018 to 2020 and was scheduled to be part of the first ever Women’s WarGames match. She was attacked backstage before the match and was replaced by Dakota Kai. Yim was part of the main roster of WWE from 2020-2021 where she was part of the Retribution stable. She was released from WWE in late 2021 and made her return to the independent circuit at Wrestlecon. She defeated Athena in her return match at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Super Show. Yim also defeated Janai Kai at ETU Era Of The Unexpected before returning to IMPACT tonight.
Mia Yim is a former IMPACT Knockouts Champion. She also won Queen of the Knockouts in 2016 and was part of the TNA World Cup-winning team in 2016.
