Deonna Purrazzo to Defend ROH Women’s Championship on AEW Dynamite
Deonna Purrazzo defeated Rok-C to win the ROH Women’s Championship during an episode of IMPACT on AXS TV in January of this year. She hosted the “Champ champ open challenge” for the ROH or AAA Reina de Reinas Championship multiple times before losing the AAA CHampionship this past weekend at Rebellion to Taya Valkyrie. She will now defend the ROH World Championship next week on Dynamite.
Mercedes Martinez was crowned the interim champion during ROH Supercard of Honor. She defeated Willow Nightingale during the event to win the championship. Now the two will face off to unify the belts and crown one undisputed ROH Women’s World Championship.
Purrazzo has been on a roll ever since debuting in IMPACT Wrestling in 2020. She has held the IMPACT Knockouts Championship twice since coming to IMPACT in addition to the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship and ROH Women’s World Championship. Purrazzo has been a staple in the Knockouts division ever since arriving and now will face a tough challenger in Martinez next week on Dynamite.
