If there’s any one event during The Collective that can be described as promotional warfare, this would be it. As the sibling companies of Game Changer Wrestling, it was only a matter of time until LA Fights and Jersey Championship Wrestling came to a head. While La Fights is a fairly new organization, having been founded this past October, JCW is a name with history, even predating GCW itself. As events under the GCW banner continued, smaller shows for the other promotions continued in their respective regions. This Thursday, at the stroke of midnight, LA Fights vs JCW will commence. Take a deeper dive into the action to come.

Short History, Big Fight
Women’s wrestling will be represented at LA Fights vs JCW, as Sandra Moone of the former takes on Billie Starkz of the latter. What viewers may not know is that this isn’t their first time sharing a wrestling ring with each other. In February of last year, the two squared off at a Paradigm Pro Wrestling event in Indiana. Furthermore, this match saw Starkz defend the PHW Party Monster Championship against Moone, and while the champion put forth a valiant effort, it was the Las Vegas-born challenger that secured the title on this night. This upcoming bout marks only their second singles match and it will show just how much the two evolved since then.
Starkz is no stranger to GCW events, the blue hair-streaked “Space Jesus” appearing in multi-person and singles bouts alike. She’s also been prevalent throughout JCW shows, having picked up victories over the likes of Alec Price and Edith Surreal. Meanwhile, as the self-proclaimed “Subspace Sweetheart,” Moone has tested her mettle against some of the best that LA Fights could bring. Most recently, at LA Fights Volume 3, she took on Allie Katch in a competitive, albeit losing, effort. It can’t be denied that Starkz and Moone have incredible potential, but only one can emerge victorious at this collaborative event.
A Hoss Fight in Dallas
At the aforementioned LA Fights Volume 3 event, Juicy Finau won the Scramble Match to kick off the action. However, Finau wasn’t content with simply winning, as he continued his attack on anyone that stepped up to him. This caught the attention of Big Vin, who attempted to mediate the situation at hand. The two eventually came to blows in the ring, requiring wrestlers and staff alike to pull apart the two powerhouses. After this skirmish, it was decided that Finau and Vin would meet at LA Fights vs JCW. This match is akin to Godzilla and King Kong meeting in a sanctioned venue; which monster will rule the ring?
An LA Fights regular, Finau is undefeated in the sibling promotion of GCW. Victories over the likes of Bad Dude Tito and Tyler Bateman show that the California native is able to hold his own against different opponents. He’s also been part of larger GCW events, including his past February’s Welcome to Heartbreak, where he teamed with Jacob Fatu to take on The Briscoes. Big “F’N” Vin, fighting out of Atlantic City, is a proud JCW representative. He also appeared for Hybrid Wrestling, Camp Leapfrog, and elsewhere. General details aside, what those unfamiliar with LA Fights and Jersey Championship Wrestling should know is that this will be a goliath showdown that even the ring will struggle to contain.
A Veteran Battle of West Versus East
If B-Boy can be best associated with the West Coast independent wrestling scene, it can be argued that Grim Reefer holds a similar distinction for the East Coast. At LA Fights vs JCW, these two veteran indie wrestlers will square off in a battle of West and East. The San Diego-born B-Boy has been in the business for roughly two decades, achieving success across various indie promotions. He holds the distinction of being a former world champion for Combat Zone Wrestling and a 3x tag team titleholder in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, just to name a few examples. From Homicide to Samoa Joe to CM Punk, B-Boy tangled with many of the best, furthering his reputation as “The New Age Punisher.”
This week, at Fair Park in Dallas, B-Boy takes on a man he shares some history with: the New York independent star, Grim Reefer. Seldom see without a smoke in his possession, it isn’t uncommon for Reefer to light one up before putting his body on the line to achieve victory. He isn’t without success in his own right, particularly in the Ronkonkoma-based Fight the World Wrestling, becoming a 3x World Heavyweight Champion and 5x Gen-X Champion. B-Boy and Reefer have competed against, and with, each other as far back as 2004. They’ve locked horns in Jersey All Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Syndicate, and elsewhere; now, they will battle once more at LA Fights vs JCW. This will be a veteran duel not to miss.
LA Fights vs JCW will take place in Dallas, Texas on March 31, 2022.
