WrestleMania 38 is to be held on April 2 and 3 at the AT& T Stadium at Arlington, Texas. With just a few weeks to go until World Wrestling Entertainment’s Superstars hit the “Grandest Stage of Them All”, a primer of just who will facing off against whom during the two-night spectacle is in order.
A WrestleMania 38 Primer
The Main Event:
The return of Brock Lesnar to WWE kicked off yet another twist in Roman Reigns’s “Tribal Chief” saga. Since his 2020 heel turn, Reigns has decimated all-comers, including Kevin Owens, Edge, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Bryan Danielson. Although the two have faced off before, Lesnar is now positioned as the sum of all that the “Head of the Table” fears, the only force dominant enough to challenge the dominance Reigns has ruthlessly secured. The stakes of this bout are high. WWE Champion Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Reigns will put it all on the line in a champion vs champion match to unify WWE’s top tier titles.
Tag Teams:
Reigns’ stable The Bloodline is also represented in tag team competition at the “Showcase of the Immortals”. The Usos, cousins and faithful enforcers to the Tribal Chief, will be facing off against Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs for the Friday Night SmackDown tag team championships.
Representing the “Red Brand”, The Miz’s and Rey Mysterio’s comic Monday Night Raw feud culminates in a tag team match wherein Mysterio partners with son Dominik, and the Miz teams up with celebrity guest Logan Paul.
Undercard Singles:
On WrestleMania Saturday, Drew McIntyre and Happy Corbin will meet in the ring, the “Scottish Warrior” seeking payback for months of Corbin’s bad jokes. Corbin’s lackey, Madcap Moss will be present. Another Friday Night SmackDown feud will culminate on WrestleMania Sunday, with Sami Zayn vying against celebrity guest Johnny Knoxville. Also on WrestleMania Sunday, recent NXT graduate Austin Theory is up against SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee. Edge’s open challenge was answered by A.J. Styles, and the two will test their strength against each other on WrestleMania Sunday.
Women’s Division:
The only two women in sports-entertainment history to win a title in a WrestleMania main event, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair, will vie against each other in a long-awaited rematch. Sports entertainment insiders and fans alike cried foul when rising star Belair lost the SmackDown women’s championship to Lynch at SummerSlam 2021 in a squash match that lasted mere seconds. Winning the eponymous women’s event of 2022’s Elimination Chamber earned Belair her shot at Lynch, and the Raw women’s championship.
Lynch’s opponents in WrestleMania 35’s history-making main event triple threat, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair will be battling for the SmackDown women’s title. Rousey’s return kicked off at 2022’s Royal Rumble, where she made her surprise return to WWE, won the women’s Rumble, and quickly settled on Flair and the “blue brand”s women’s title for her WrestleMania venture.
Rounding out the women’s card is a six woman tag team match pitting Queen Zelina and Carmella, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, and Sasha Banks and Naomi against each other for the WWE women’s tag team championship.

To Be Determined:
RK-Bro’s opponent for the Raw tag team championships is still up in the air. Despite competing for both the WWE championship and WWE Universal Championship in 2022, Seth Rollins’s hands are curiously empty for WrestleMania 38.
