New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) wrapped up the New Beginning in America tour last week. Now the promotion turns their attention to the RIVALS Night 1 show. Three matches are scheduled for this week. FinJuice takes on JONAH and Bad Dude Tito in tag action in the main event of the evening. Let’s see what NJPW STRONG has in store for us this weekend.

NJPW STRONG: RIVALS Night 1 Full Card
TJP vs. Brogan Finlay
The young Brogan Finlay has a big match and a big opponent in TJP this week on STRONG. This is his third match in a STRONG ring but he has yet to pick up a win on NJPW STRONG. His previous two losses on STRONG have been in tag team action. He has the chance to pick up his first win in a singles match this weekend. TJP on the other hand is coming off of a loss to Clark Connors from Night 1 of the New Beginning USA Tour. TJP will look to use his speed and technical wrestling ability to take down the much younger Brogan Finlay this weekend on NJPW Strong.
Christopher Daniels vs. Karl Fredericks
Christopher Daniels returns to STRONG after a tough loss to Jay White. Daniels was the first to answers the “US Of Jay Open Challenge” of Jay White during the NJPW STRONG Nemesis tour. Karl Fredericks on the other hand is competing on STRONG for the second week in a row. He finished off the New Beginning in America tour with a win over Ethan HD. Fredericks is looking to continue his winning ways and move closer to a STRONG Openweight Title shot. A win over the veteran Daniels would help boost Fredericks’s title aspirations. Can he overcome the veteran ability of “The Fallen Angel”? Find out at RIVALS Night 1!
FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson) vs. JONAH & Bad Dude Tito
The feud between FinJuice and JONAH/Bad Dude Tito continues this weekend. This feud started when JONAH made his NJPW debut at Battle of the Valley. After Juice Robinson lost to Moose, JONAH beatdown an already hurting Juice. David Finlay tried to make the save, but he was quickly taken down by JONAH as well. Bad Dude Tito was defeated by Robinson in his STRONG debut. After the match, Tito held Robinson by his ankle as JONAH came to the ring and attempted to beat down Robinson. Finlay was able to make the save this time, setting up a tag match at Night 2 of the New Beginning USA Tour. FinJuice won that match after a roll-up from Robinson on JONAH. JONAH and Tito demanded this rematch and now we will see it this week on STRONG!
