A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider is stating that WWE Superstar Cesaro has parted ways with the company. This report has been backed up by a Tweet from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, seemingly confirming the departure of the Swiss competitor.

If the reports are true then wrestling fans the world over will be rejoicing at the return of Claudio Castagnoli. Cesaro, now 41, has been with the WWE for a decade now in which time he has been one of their most underutilized talents. Despite numerous potential breakout moments including an Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal win and a championship feud in 2021, he never received a sustained push-up the card. Cesaro’s most notable legacy in the WWE will be his various tag teams including his team with Tyson Kidd, a team with Jack Swagger, and the heavily decorated The Bar (alongside Sheamus).
Cesaro is getting released into one of the hottest eras of pro wrestling in some time as AEW, NJPW, and a number of indies are producing stellar matches on a regular basis. Some of Cesaro’s best foes are also on the horizon to relive some of his former glory with some fans already hoping for the return of the Kings Of Wrestling (his team with Chris Hero). If this is all true and Cesaro leaves WWE then exciting times are ahead for wrestling fans.
