CM Punk To Be Inducted Into ROH Hall of Fame

CM Punk ROH

CM Punk is headed to the Ring of Honor (ROH) Hall of Fame. He is the final person to be inducted in the inaugural class alongside The Briscoes, Bryan Danielson, and Samoa Joe.

CM Punk Tops Off Inaugural ROH Hall of Fame Class

Punk first stepped into an ROH ring in 2002. Punk had multiple notable moments during his ROH career. His three match feud with fellow Hall of Fame inductee Samoa Joe has gone down in ROH history. They battled for the ROH Title three times, with the first two ending in 60 minute draws. The final match saw Joe coming out victorious.

He is also know for the “Summer of Punk” in 2005. He won the ROH World Title from Austin Aries in June, shortly after accepting a deal with WWE. Punk constantly threatened to bring the title with him to WWE, before losing the title in August to James Gibson. In addition to this memorable title reign he is also a two time ROH Tag Team Champion with Colt Cabana.

A special look back on the ROH career of CM Punk will take place on this weekend’s edition of ROH TV. All inductees will be inducted into the Hall of Fame the weekend of March 5th on a special edition of ROH TV.
