This match was originally scheduled to take place at Final Battle 2021. Jonathan Gresham was the number one contender for Bandido’s ROH World Title. Unfortunately, Bandido contracted COVID-19 and was forced to back out of the card. Jay Lethal took the open spot in the main event and he and Gresham competed for the original Ring of Honor Title belt. Gresham won the match ending the era of ROH as champion. The two have been defending both belts in promotions such as Terminus, GCW, and IMPACT Wrestling.
Both men successfully defended their title belts at the first Terminus event. Following Gresham’s defense Bandido came to the ring. A handshake was offered to Bandido but before he could accept, Santana appeared. He challenged Gresham for his title which Gresham accepted before telling Bandido his time would come. The time has now come and two will unify the belts on April 1st.
Tickets for Supercard of Honor will go on sale Friday, January 21st at 11 am Eastern time for Honor Club members, and Friday, January 28th at 11 am for everyone else.
