It’s only been three weeks since AEW Dynamite’s move to the “Mothership” TBS and things are already heating up. Fans are already on the edge of their seats to start off the new year. By the looks of this week’s card, All Elite Wrestling has another unforgettable night for its #AllElite fans including the AEW in-ring debut of Brody King.
On this week’s edition of Dynamite, The House of Black welcomes its new apostle as they take on The Varsity Blonds. “The Best in the World” looks to make another statement at the expense of “The Chairman”. Plus, the TNT Champion returns to AEW. That is only the tip of the iceberg as there is a lot more in store for fans’ viewing pleasure. Without further ado, It’s Wednesday night, and you know what that means! Time for some Dynamite. Let’s run it down.

As Darkness Fell
Malakai Black got his wish and has enlisted a willing disciple to aid him in his quest for domination. As the match between Penta El Zero Miedo and Matt Hardy concluded, Penta aired out his grievances against Malakai in regards to his assault of Penta’s Death Triangle stablemate PAC. Penta vowed revenge as the arena went dark and Malakai Black materialized.
One of Malakai’s many victims The Varsity Blonds also hit the ring seeking retribution. However, Malakai Black was not alone and the debuting Brody King made his allegiance clear as he destroyed everyone in the ring and took his place alongside Black.
The House of Black has gotten stronger and with the arrival of Brody King; they might be unstoppable. With that being said, The Varsity Blonds would be damned if they didn’t try. Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison are going into this fight with one thing in mind and that’s payback. However, the House of Black preys on darkness and this might be exactly what they wanted.
Will the Varsity Blonds finally get a measure of revenge or will Malakai Black and Brody King start their reign of terror on a violent note?
“The American Nightmare” Returns
After missing the Battle of the Belts due to “medical protocols”, TNT Champion Cody Rhodes makes his triumphant return to AEW. However, in his absence, an Interim TNT Champion was crowned. Sammy Guevara battled Cody’s brother “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes in an epic matchup that saw Guevara once again hoist up the gold.
Now that Cody is back, this creates an interesting situation. Both men have the right to claim that they are the rightful champion. Cody never lost the belt but Sammy held the fort together when Rhodes was unable to do so. This is a head-on collision waiting to happen. But, for now, fans will hear what has been on Cody Rhodes’ mind for the past couple of weeks and hopefully get his feelings on the matter of the Interim TNT Champion.
What does Cody Rhodes have to say for all his loyal All Elite Wrestling fans? Find out this Wednesday night live on TBS!
