This week’s NWA PowerrrSurge, Holiday Edition will be nothing short of festive. The National Wrestling Alliance is getting into the spirit and Joe Galli intends on throwing a big party for his fellow broadcast colleagues. This isn’t to say that everyone else will be left out in the cold, as there are a few matches set for this week’s show. In fact, if you believe that the NWA will be slowing down due to the holidays, you’d be mistaken.
Among the matches in question will be one to determine a new number one contender for the NWA World Television Championship, currently held by Tyrus. The titleholding behemoth has been on a roll since first capturing the gold. This begs the question: who will be the next individual to step up to the seemingly unstoppable champion? This is what we will find out. Here’s what to know prior to the show’s airing at 6:05 PM EST on FITE.

Number One Contender’s Match for the NWA World Television Championship
As mentioned earlier, the NWA World Television Championship is currently held by Tyrus. Aided by Austin Idol, Tyrus claimed the title earlier this summer, besting Pope in an impressive showing. Since then, the powerhouse has been on a tear, recently successfully defending the title against the masked Cyon at NWA Hard Times 2. Furthermore, Tyrus found a “family” of sorts in BLK Jeez and Jordan Clearwater, both of whom have shown no qualms about assisting the champion at any opportunity. Tonight, on the Holiday Edition of NWA PowerrrSurge, a new challenger will be decided.
Facing off in singles action will be Rush Freeman and Jaden Roller. Longtime NWA viewers will undoubtedly be familiar with both names, as they’ve worked multiple matches on the company’s programming. However, neither man has reached the heights one would associate with championship status, which makes their upcoming singles bout all the more important. Whoever has their arm raised by the end of the night will have a long road ahead, given the aforementioned dominance of the NWA World Television Champion. See how this contest unfolds this week on NWA PowerrrSurge.
