Dave Prazak Joins the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame
From the late 1990s onward, Dave Prazak has been a prominent name in the independent wrestling scene. Many longtime followers of the indies will best know Prazak for his work in Mid American Wrestling, IWA Mid-South, and elsewhere, specifically as a manager. He championed names ranging from independent standouts Nick Mondo and Ace Steel to well-known stars including Chris Hero and All Elite Wrestling’s Colt Cabana and CM Punk. Prazak would also enjoy stints in CHIKARA, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and Ring of Honor. Most recently, he performed commentary for GCW events this past August and September.
In addition to his work as an on-camera personality and voice, Prazak is an accomplished independent wrestling promoter. In 2005, he founded SHIMMER Women Athletes. Based in Illinois, SHIMMER is a women’s wrestling organization that runs primarily in said state, though shows have been held all across the country. Many well-known wrestlers of the modern era, including Holidead, Nicole Savoy, Janai Kai, and Allysin Kay have made their way through the promotion and found success there as well.
