As of this writing, NXT 2.0 Halloween Havoc is three for three in regard to title changes. Earlier in the show, the entirety of Toxic Attraction won gold; while Jaci Jayne and Gigi Dolin claimed the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, Mandy Rose won the NXT Women’s Championship. Later in the show, a contest was held dubbed a “Lumberjack O’Lantern Match,” determined by the “Spin the Wheel, Make the Wheel,” where the NXT Tag Team Championship was contested. MSK’s Wes Lee and Nash Carter defended the NXT tag team titles against Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel of Imperium. All the while, a series of NXT Superstars surrounded the ring, ensuring that, for the most part, the action remained in the squared circle. Following a fast-paced, hard-hitting battle, it was Aicher and Barthel of Imperium that emerged victorious with their second NXT Tag Team Championship.

Imperium Captures NXT Tag Team Titles Once More
This victory marks the second time that the NXT Tag Team Championship was in possession of Imperium. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel’s first NXT tag team title reign began in May of 2020, when they bested Matt Riddle and stand-in Timothy Thatcher for the gold; Pete Dunne was originally championed with Riddle but was unable to compete due to travel restrictions stemming from COVID-19. From there, Imperium defended the title against Breezango, the team of Tyler Breeze and Fandango, and The Undisputed Era’s Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Ultimately, Imperium would lose the titles the following August to Breezango.
Given the bright and colorful aesthetic of NXT 2.0, Imperium serves as a stark contrast to the brand in question. Now that Aichner and Barthel are NXT Tag Team Champions once more, who will step up to the plate? Tune into NXT, every Tuesday night on the USA Network, to catch all the action.
