All Elite Wrestling celebrates a landmark event in their company’s history on the second-anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite. October 2, 2019, was the day Dynamite was born and it has not slowed down since. Ever since that day in the nation’s capital Washington, D.C., AEW has been on a meteoric rise as a major professional wrestling company. It took almost two decades for another promotion to do this sort of feat but through hard work and dedication from the competitors it has on its roster, the company has been a supernova since its inception. Countless matches and memorable moments will forever be embedded in the minds of its fans and, in turn, leaving their imprints in the annals of professional wrestling lore. What better way to celebrate this triumph than by showcasing some #AllElite action on a loaded edition of its flagship show.
On this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, the TNT Championship will be on the line as the newly-crowned “Spanish God” will defend his crown against one of the most gifted competitors this side of the business has ever seen. A Ladder match to determine who climbs up the ranks to secure themselves a guaranteed AEW World Title opportunity. And, the “Woman Of A Thousand Holds” looks to execute against the history-making former AEW Women’s World Champion. That’s just the tip of the iceberg as far as AEW action is concerned. There will be a lot more to come to quench the insatiable appetite for some top-tier wrestling action. Without further ado, “It’s Wednesday night, and you know what that means!” it’s time for some Dynamite. Let’s run it down.

Stairway to Gold
An opportunity of a lifetime will be up for grabs as seven men look to ascend the heavens on their way to a guaranteed World Championship shot down the line. The “Casino Ladder Match” will feature AEW’s best the likes of PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Jon Moxley, Lance Archer, Orange Cassidy, his rival, Matt Hardy, and the unknown wild card of sorts, rather the Joker card, will be in the mix. The identity of the joker is not yet known, it could be a current star looking to make waves or it could be someone completely new that’s looking to make an immediate impact.
That fact alone, on top of the numerous premier talents, makes this match a must-see. And, it builds up the intrigue of who’s going to be next in line for a shot at glory. If one thing can be promised, it’s that this will be carnage incarnate. Everyone involved will risk life and limb to secure a date with destiny. Don’t miss this “Human Demolition Derby” as it ensues this Wednesday night live on TNT.
Fishing For The TNT Championship
Last week on Dynamite Sammy Guevara pulled off the upset of all upsets as he defeated the seemingly unbeatable Miro on his way to becoming the new TNT Champion. His remarkable performance and will to survive earned him the first, of many, AEW championships to come in his young career. The crowd was ecstatic when the bell sounded and “The Spanish God” emerged with the gold in a grueling test of intestinal fortitude for both combatants. Miro was relentless in the contest and seemed poise to retain his much-coveted TNT Title once again but, Guevara persevered. As a result, has written his name in the history books.
The locker room spilled out onto the ring to congratulate the newly-crowned champion. Right by his side was his best friend Fuego Del Sol to bask in the glory of this monumental victory. Although within mere hours, everyone was already gunning for the new champion of TNT right off the bat. Nevertheless, Sammy was well-aware of that and welcomes all challengers. From Scorpio Sky to Ethan Page, Guevara already has a huge target on his back.
But, first up in a long line of challengers, “The Forbidden Door” hears a knock from an outside force. The man wanting to break the door down is simply known as Bobby Fish. What’s there to be said about Bobby Fish? Undoubtedly, he’s one of the most accomplished wrestlers in this modern era. Whether it was Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, or the company up in Stamford he has tasted gold in each promotion. What a way to make his AEW debut than by possibly prying away the TNT Championship from Guevara in his first defense and on Bobby’s first match in All Elite Wrestling.
Despite all that, Guevara immediately and willingly accepted this challenge starting his reign on a very high note. This will certainly be a game of physical chess if we ever saw one. Clearly, two vastly different competitors in terms of style but with one common goal and that’s to have gold around their waist. Will Sammy Guevara come out on top in his first-ever TNT title defense or will Bobby Fish beat it out of him and pry it away from his cold lifeless hands?
