Preview: NWA Powerrr (9/28/21) – Jennacide vs Allysin Kay

Jennacide vs Allysin Kay NWA Powerrr

The National Wrestling Alliance is back once again, on FITE, with NWA Powerrr. In action will be two of the strongest women’s wrestlers in the promotion, which leads us to Jennacide vs Allysin Kay, the latter being one-half of the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions. We will also see three teams take part in triple threat action. This, and much more, is set for tonight’s edition of NWA Powerrr. Let’s run through the action set to take place.

  • Jennacide vs Allysin Kay

Three-Team Tag Team Action

One of the matches set to take place, as stated earlier, is a triple threat tag team contest. In one corner will be The End, Odinson and Parrow, which is also one of the most dominant teams in the National Wrestling Alliance. If there is any duo that can lay claim to the NWA World Tag Team Championship, currently held by La Rebelión, it would be The End. Late last month, they took part in a tournament match to crown new number one contenders for the titles; in this case, Odinson and Parrow were successful against Jordan Clearwater and Cyon. Can they keep the momentum going on NWA Powerrr?

Also teaming up is Jeremiah Plunkett and Crimson, the latter of whom has had issues with former tag team partner Jax Dane. Two weeks ago, on NWA Powerrr, Crimson and Dane took part in a “Humilation Showcase,” which involved fisticuffs between both men. The action soon dissolved into chaos as Strictly Business started a brawl. This involved The Pope and the reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Trevor Murdoch, who will be teaming up in this match as well. Given The Pope’s status as a former titleholder and Trevor’s as the top star in the National Wrestling Alliance, expect them to be a sizable challenge as well.

A Women’s Wrestling Power Showcase

In women’s wrestling action will be Jennacide vs Allysin Kay. As stated earlier, Kay is one-half of the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions; at last month’s NWA EmPowerrr, Kay and Marti Belle won a tournament to claim the revived titles. The following night, on the NWA 73 preshow, Kay and Belle, collectively known as The Hex, teamed with Lady Frost in a winning effort against Paola Blaze, Taryn Terrell, and Jennacide. Despite this loss, it’s safe to say that Jennacide is still among the most dominant women’s competitors in the NWA. Consider the fact that, in the recent NWA Champions Series, she picked up a sizable win over Skye Blue.

A win on tonight’s NWA Powerrr is vital for Jennacide. By potentially unseating one-half of the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions, “The Bionic Beast” may put herself in contention for the titles. The importance of a victory applies to Kay as well. Since her return to the promotion earlier this summer, she has yet to wrestle a one-on-one match for them. One can argue that “The AK-47” has the edge here, not only due to her current status as a tag team titleholder but the fact that she is a former NWA World Women’s Champion, having held the singles title in question for 272 days. Watch the action unfold tonight, at 6:05 PM EST, on FITE.
