At the Ganbare☆Pro-Wrestling event known as Bad Communication, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of Ken Ohka’s pro wrestling career. There was also a lot of news on this very event. Ganbare announced not only a LEC sponsorship but their very own singles championship. For those unaware, up until recently, Ganbare used the Independent World Junior Championship, a belt that has been passed down through many companies.

The aforementioned companies include Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, K-DOJO, Michinoku Pro Wrestling, and many others. The belt is currently held by Arata of JUST TAP OUT, and it has not been seen in quite a while. Now, things are seeming to be clearer with Ganbare☆Pro-Wrestling announcing and revealing the new Spirit of Ganbare World Openweight Championship. The inaugural champion will be determined through the Ganbare Climax tournament.

The Ganbare Climax Lineup

Upon that announcement, Ganbare took one more step forward. The company announced the individuals who would be competing in the Ganbare Climax. Here is the lineup that was announced:

  • Ken Ohka
  • Keisuke Ishii
  • Yumehito Imanari
  • Kouki Iwasaki
  • Shuichiro Katsumura
  • Tetsuhiro Kuroda
  • Shota
  • Nobuhiro Shimatani
  • Tatsuhito Takaiwa
  • Shinichiro Tominaga
  • Baliyan Akki
  • Seiya Morohashi
  • Mizuki Watase
  • Taison Maeguchi

One of those men will become the first-ever Spirit of Ganbare World Openweight Champion. The Ganbare Climax will run on October 24, as well as November 7 and 23. This is really anyone’s tournament to win, and there is no clear-cut winner. It will be the first set of live shows on the new WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
