#AndNEW Lucha Brothers Win AEW World Tag Team Championship

All Out Lucha Brothers

At All Out the Young Bucks defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a steel cage match against past rivals the Lucha Brothers.  Once again, the Lucha Brothers came out on top and have won the AEW tag belts for the first time ever after not having much success in AEW to date.  The two teams stole the show in what will go down as one of the best matches of 2021.

Lucha Brothers Win AEW Titles at All Out

This defeat ends the reign of the Young Bucks at 302 days after they captured the titles from FTR at Full Gear 2020.  The Young Bucks managed to make nine defenses of their titles during this record reign as tag team champions.  The Lucha Brothers have big shoes to fill as the AEW World Tag Team Championship has been a highlight of the company for some time and will allow the duo to have a number of great title matches, an opportunity that they’ve deserved for some time.

Some fans had been worried over the treatment of the Lucha Brothers in AEW as the duo came in to the promotion with a head of steam thanks to their feud with the Young Bucks.  They slowly faded into the background before COVID-19 and the failure of the Death Triangle to gain steam made them background players.  Now, Penta and Fenix are at the top of the division where they belong following an instant classic.
