Preview: NXT UK (9/2/2021) – Teoman vs. Frazer In Heritage Cup Tournament

Ben Carter

NXT UK will feature four matches this week, headlined by Teoman vs. Nathan Frazer in a Heritage Cup No.1 Contender tournament match. Here, we take a look at all the contests booked for the show in our NXT UK preview.

Announced Card (9/2/2021)

  • Heritage Cup No1. Contender Tournament First Round Match: Teoman vs. Nathan Frazer
  • Amale vs. Emilia McKenzie
  • Nina Samuels vs. Blair Davenport
  • Jack Starz & Dave Mastiff vs. Dan Moloney & Andy Wild

Can Amale Knock down McKenzie To Get To Satomura?

Amale wants another crack at Meiko Satomura and her NXT UK Women’s Championship. The only issue is Satomura’s protege Emilia McKenzie is standing in her way. McKenzie said Amale would have to go through her if she wants to get to “The Final Boss” Satomura. It’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top here. This should act as an opportunity to show McKenzie’s development since beginning her training with Satomura.

Can Samuels Catch A Break?

It’s been a tough time for Nina Samuels recently. She lost a grudge feud with Xia Brookside which led to Samuels being forced to be Brookside’s assistant. After this, Samuels’ attempt to have a match with Satomura was flattened by Amale. Last week, Samuels demanded a match from Sid Scala only to be told it would be against the intimidating Blair Davenport

Expect Davenport to make light work of Samuels.

Teoman vs. Frazer in Heritage Cup Tournament

Teoman is undefeated in NXT UK since making his debut in March. Nathan Frazer can’t make the same boast but he still has a decent win/loss record. You can expect the winner of this match to probably make it all the way to the final of the Heritage Cup No.1 Contender tournament where they will face Noam Dar or Kenny Williams.

My money would be on Teoman taking the win here. It would be a good story for him to win the tournament and remain undefeated before facing the Heritage Cup Champion Tyler Bate.

Dave Mastiff and Jack Starz will also continue their run as the newest tag team in NXT UK when they take on Dan Moloney and Andy Wild.
