Preview: NWA Powerrr (8/10/21) – The Champions Series Part 4

NWA Powerrr Champions Series Part 4

Last week, on NWA Powerrr, the first round of The Champions Series came to an end. All four teams competed to their utmost for the sake of victory. However, only two teams were able to move onto the second round. These were Team Kamille and Austin Idol and Team Pope and Velvet Sky, ending the first round with 10 and 14 points, respectively. One can argue that this is especially important for Pope given his NWA World Television Championship loss to Tyrus this past Friday. Between the two final teams, which will stake their claim as the winners of the first-ever Champions Series? Here’s what to know heading into The Champions Series Part 4, the season finale of NWA Powerrr.

NWA Champions Series – The Final Teams

Team Captains Kamille and Austin Idol: Thom Latimer, Mims, Kenzie Page, Kratos, and Sal Rinauro

Team Captains Pope and Velvet Sky: Jennacide, Trevor Murdoch, The Mystery Man, Jax Dane, and Colby Corino

NWA Powerrr Card – Champions Series Part 4 (8/10/21)

Thom Latimer (Team Kamille and Austin Idol) vs. Trevor Murdoch (Team Pope and Velvet Sky)

In one of the final matches of The Champions Series, Strictly Business‘s Thom Latimer will go one-on-one with Trevor Murdoch. This is just as much of a personal grudge as it is a vital series match. After all, Latimer has been among the various individuals that have gotten in Murdoch’s way during the latter’s quest to the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Recently, it was announced that Murdoch will have one more shot at the “10 Pounds of Gold” at NWA 73 later this month, though his career will be on the line as well. Can the bruising underdog build momentum tonight?

Jax Dane (Team Pope and Velvet Sky) vs. Mims (Team Kamille and Austin Idol)

The finals of The Champions Series will also see Jax Dane face Mims. The best way that this match can be described is a battle of the powerhouses. Regular NWA Powerrr viewers will know that Dane has had his issues with long-time tag team partner Crimson. The War Kings are all but disbanded, though tonight’s focus isn’t tag team complications. More than anything else, it’s about The Champions Series and this match will be important in determining which team makes history. Keep your eyes on this contest.

Other Action Set for NWA Powerrr

Team Kamille and Austin Idol’s Sal Rinauro is also set to be in action. The “Best Friend” himself is set to go one-on-one against Colby Corino of Team Pope and Velvet Sky. Rinauro and Corino have been at one another for weeks, especially following Corino’s attacks on Rinauro.

Also, tune in for a special exhibition match featuring two champions. Strictly Business members Chris Adonis, the reigning NWA National Champion, and Nick Aldis, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, will be in exhibition competition. Keep an eye on the action to come as we inch closer to NWA 73 later this month.
