One night removed from Money in the Bank, Monday Night Raw emanated from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas. The night was ripe for big moments, such as John Cena starting the show following his return the evening prior. The surprises didn’t end here, however. In a debut that many members of the WWE Universe eagerly anticipated, 2x NXT Champion Karrion Kross made his first appearance on Monday Night Raw. “The Harbinger of Sorrow’s” debut was hyped earlier in the night prior to Humberto Carrillo‘s match with United States Champion Sheamus.

Karrion Kross made his official Raw debut against Jeff Hardy in the third hour of the show. Interestingly enough, Hardy made his way to the ring with his old No More Words theme. It didn’t take long for Kross to take control of the match, muscling the former WWE Champion. Hardy would catch Kross with a Twist of Fate before going for a Swanton Bomb. Kross evaded the maneuver, reassuming control. However, this would be short-lived, as Hardy scored the upset pin on “The Tollman,” albeit with his legs on the middle rope for added leverage. In a post-match interview, Kross claimed that Hardy made the biggest mistake of his life and that everyone would “Fall and Pray.”
Though this event marks Karrion Kross’s debut on Monday Night Raw, it isn’t his first appearance outside of NXT. It was rumored that both Kross and former NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed were bound for the main roster. This was hinted at by separate WWE Main Event appearances and dark matches both men made in weeks prior. On the June 21 edition of Main Event, sans Scarlett and trademark entrance, Kross picked up a win over Shelton Benjamin.
