#AndNEW: Bandido Wins the ROH World Title at Best in the World

Bandido has captured the ROH World Championship in the main event of the Best in the World pay-per-view. Bandido defeated the now former champion and La Facción Ingobernable leader RUSH.

He earned his shot by winning the 2021 edition of Survival of the Fittest. Bandido won his qualifying match for Survival of the Fittest against Bateman. He then last defeated Eli Isom in the six-man elimination match to win the tournament and punch his ticket to Best in the World. The match was hard-hitting with a lot of back and forth with a good amount of high-risk moves.

When the final bell rung it was Bandido with his hand raised, winning the ROH World Title for the first time. He pinned RUSH after RUSH ripped off part of his mask, giving him an opportunity to roll RUSH up for the win.

After the match, the rest of LFI hit the ring to beat down Bandido before RUSH hit him across the face with the belt. As the event went off the air Bandido laid in the middle of the ring, reeling from the beatdown from LFI.

This marks the end of RUSH’s ROH World Championship run. He won the title in February of 2020 from PCO in a triple threat match with Mark Haskins and defended it three times successfully.
