Hit Row has gifted Isaiah “Swerve” Scott the opportunities he had long been awaiting since joining NXT and Tuesday night saw his greatest come to fruition. In an almost impromptu title match, Scott faced Bronson Reed for the NXT North American Championship. The match was as good as one could ask for with “Swerve” showing time and time again that this was his night all throughout the match. But “The Colossal” was not one to take lightly as he seemed to have the defense in hand as the match broke down. Top Dolla and Ashante Thee Adonis got the attention of Reed, which led to the champion dumping both of them in a major fashion. When Reed turned his attention back to “Swerve,” it was too late. The challenger hit a massive back kick to Reed’s skull then a 450 for the win.

The win for Scott meant his first championship since joining NXT and it was a long-awaited moment. “Swerve” was missing the final piece to the puzzle to elevate him from contender to champion status. It’s clear that Hit Row is exactly that. “Swerve” is now in the driver’s seat for greatness as the North American Champion. Truth be told, this is only the beginning for him and his rise to the top. Reed is likely to go to the main roster after the loss. What a match.
