DDT (Dramatic Dream Team) runs multiple tournaments within the year, with their most recent tournament starting known as the Ultimate Tag League. During the opener for this tag league, we would see an announcement regarding another tournament. The tournament known as King of DDT. This is a single elimination tournament.

This tournament will have three shows dedicated to it that will run from June to early July. With it starting on June 10th, having the second round on June 20th. With the semi-finals/finals happening on July 4th. Last year’s winner was Tetsuya Endo, who was the reigning KO-D Openweight Champion. The winner of this tournament earns the right to challenge for the KO-D Openweight Championship, usually at DDT’s marquee event Peter Pan.
