#AndNEW: Kaito Ishida and KAZMA Sakamoto Win The Open The Twin Gate Championships

Dragon Gate

At Dead or Alive 2021 Dragon Gate’s Open The Twin Gate Championships changed hands. R.E.D.’s Kaito Ishida and KAZMA Sakamoto defeated Masaaki Mochizuki and Takashi Yoshida to win the belts after Kaito Ishida put a wrench in his kick pad and kicked the ankle of Yoshida. He then applied an ankle lock and a KAZMA knee for good measure. That sealed the deal and new champions were crowned. This is KAZMA’s second reign with the belts while this is Ishida’s first reign with the belts.

These two came off failed Dream Gate challenges and formed a team that turned out to be super effective. After King of Gate, it’s certain that the challengers will pour in. Mochizuki and Yoshida could pursue a rematch, but there is a heavy heap of tag teams in Dragon Gate that could come forward. Possible clashes with Kota Minoura and Jason Lee, YAMATO and Dragon Kid, or any duo from Natural Vibes seem like realistic options at this rate. Only time will tell for sure.
