It is being reported by PWInsider that Mia Yim and Shane Thorne have switched brands from RAW to SmackDown. Yim had been competing on RAW under the name RECKONINGas a member of RETRIBUTION while Thorne was competing as SLAPCJACK in the same group. A move to Friday nights could revitalize both talents.
Mia Yim never really stood a chance following her move from NXT as she was put into the DOA RETRIBUTION angle and never got going on Monday Night RAW. If WWE is smart they can use her in SmackDown’s division which needs some talent capable of mixing it up with Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Bianca Belair. Yim can slot into that division and provide a good opponent for any of the three. Although RAW does seem to be in need of talent following the releases of the Iiconics earlier in the week they will be without Yim.
Shane Thorne has had a couple of stop-start runs on RAW including his short-lived team with Brendan Vink which gave way for his spot in RETRIBUTION. It’s tough to see Thorne doing much of note on SmackDown but he is a talented guy who can have good matches if needed, all he needs is some spotlight.
