For weeks now, QT Marshall has had tensions within the faction he’s a leading member of, The Nightmare Family. The unit is the official faction of the wrestling school that both QT Marshall and Cody Rhodes run together in Atlanta, Georgia, The Nightmare Factory. It has helped supply All Elite Wrestling (AEW) with some regular talents not only for AEW Dark, but with some who have become featured stars, like Anna Jay, Jade Cargill, Dark Order‘s 10 (Preston Vance), Lee Johnson, and Brooke Havok.
On Wednesday night, Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall were set to face off in what was thought to be a friendly face-off, in hopes that blowing off some steam in the ring could repair the tensions between the two. With the students of The Nightmare Factory surrounding the ring, as well as fellow family members Dustin Rhodes, Red Velvet, and The Gunn Club (Billy, Austin & Colten Gunn), plus coach Arn Anderson as the special referee, it seemed that The Nightmare Family would squash their issues in the ring. However, mid-match, QT Marshall slugged Arn Anderson and left the ring, and was soon joined by several students and members of The Nightmare Family, as Nick Comoroto, Aaron Solow, and Anthony Ogogo turned on the others in the ring.

The new stable, which left Dustin Rhodes out cold after a piledriver and Cody Rhodes moments away from a steel cheer to the head while unconscious on the ramp, features two of the Nightmare Family’s newest members, the powerhouse Nick Comoroto and athletic speedster Aaron Solow, as well as UK Olympic boxing medalist Anthony Ogogo. Ogogo has been training at The Nightmare Factory for some time now, as well as working as a commentator on AEW Dark. Now that the Nightmare Family has been split in half – with Cody still backed by Dustin, Gunn Club, Red Velvet, and Lee Johnson – it will be interesting to see if QT Marshall recruits other Nightmare Factory students into his new squad as a way of bringing in more new names. One possibility could be Jade Cargill herself, who is still currently feuding with Family member Red Velvet.

It also continues AEW’s massive log jam of stables, in a promotion that already features The Invisible Hand (Kenny Omega, Don Callis & The Good Brothers), The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana & Ortiz), The Pinnacle (MJF, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, Tully Blanchard & FTR), Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus & Marko Stunt), The Dark Order (-1, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Preston ’10’ Vance, Alan ‘5’ Angels, ’99’ Anna Jay, John Silver & Alex Reynolds), Best Friends (Trent, Chuck Taylor & Orange Cassidy), Team Taz (Taz, Brian Cage, Ricky Starks, Will Hobbs & Hook), Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix), and Hardy Family Office (Matt Hardy, Private Party, The Butcher & The Blade, and The Bunny).
